Ayesha Takia born on April 10th, 1986 in Mumbai is a renowned model and an up-coming Indian actress.

Born to a Gujarati father and a mother, who is of Maharashtrian origin with partial British-ancestry, Ayesha Takia dreamt of becoming an actress since her childhood. Right from the age of four Ayesha began modeling and to date, the twenty-one year old model has appeared in more than 50 ads. Her famous one-liner was “I am a Complan Girl” in a Complan ad campaign. As a fifteen-year-old bubbly chirpy teen, Ayesha appeared in Falguni Pathak’s hit musical video, “Meri Chunar”.

In this Friday’s release Fool And Final , cute babe Ayesha Takia plays a wonder woman.

The film, directed by choreographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan, is a funny comedy about a number of over-the-top characters. A part of the film is a spoof on the superheroes trying to save the world.

But there are no superheroes in the film. Only a bunch of fools who get together to steal a diamond. The movie’s punchline says: ‘Stealing Stones and Breaking Bones’.

There are sequences in the film that show Shahid Kapur dressed as Superman, Paresh Rawal as Batman, Ayesha Takia as Wonder Woman, and Johnny Lever as Spiderman.

While everyone lavishes expensive gifts on birthdays, Ayesha Takia’s beau restaurateur Farhan Azmi had a ‘cheesy’ gift for her birthday. He celebrated Ayesha’s 23rd birthday yesterday with a Philadelphia cream New York cheese cake baked by himself! As the actress is allergic to chocolates, he made a strawberry cheesecake.

Farhan brought in Ayesha’s birthday at her Versowa home with a surprise birthday party on April 9. Farhan says, “Ayesha didn’t want a big party so we celebrated her birthday at home. I baked a a Philadelphia cream New York cheese cake specially for her at my restaurant Cafe Basilico.

‘De Taali’ which sounds all fun and youthful with its title and look of the film brings E Niwas after ‘My name is Anthony’. With the likes of Riteish , Ayesha , Aftab and Rimi Sen ; one would expect a laugh riot but the outcome nowhere calls for a single clap.

Synopsis…

Paglu (Riteish), Amu (Ayesha) and Abhi (Aftab) are buddies, an integral part of each other’s lives. Amu is a girl amongst the two guys, though Paglu and Abhi don’t treat her like one. Paglu is the one who makes her realize about her feelings for Abhi. Life, however, takes a serious turn when Abhi falls in love with Kartika aka Anjali (Rimi Sen).

‘Wanted Dead and Alive’ is the forthcoming action thriller and the first Hindi film directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Boney Kapoor. Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia are in the lead role and the film is expected to release in the end of year 2008. The film is the remake of Tamil hit film ‘Pokhri’.

Ayesha Takia, who shares the screen space with Salman Khan, says that ‘Wanted’ is a Bonney Kapoor film and Prabu’s first directorial venture in Hindi. Lots of dancing are there and is a remake of a Tamil film.

Even though Ritiesh Deshmukh has worked with Ayesha Takia for the first time ever in DE TAALI, he truly believes that the girl is a genuine talent. Impressed with her spontaneity and the range that she brings in her act, Riteish admits that it was fun working with her in his soon to be released urban comic flick that is directed by E Niwas.

“Ayesha is truly one of the finest talents around”, says Riteish in an admiring tone, “I mean most of us actors have a particular way of acting in films. The way we enact a scene or mouth a dialogue, there is basically a similar format involved. But Ayesha is just different.”

De taali is a forthcoming Bollywood film that stars Aftab Shivdasani, Ayesha Takia, Ritesh Deshmukh and Rimi Sen in the main roles. It is directed by E. Niwas and produced by Ravi Walia. The film revolves around three childhood friends who have grown together and when Rimi Sen comes in their life, the whole dynamics of their friendship changes. The film was initially titled Jalsa.

The latest Bollywood news suggests that the industry is going to be one actress short. Ayesha Takia, who is heading up the altar at the end of the year, is rumoured to be quitting films and plans to spend her days being Mrs. Farhan Azmi.

Ayesha and Farhan have been together for quite a few years now and the walk up the aisle is spelling a closure to the actress’ Bollywood career. Sources close to the actress tell us that Ayesha is speedily wrapping up her commitments as she wants to be completely free in a couple of months.
