Anuj Saxena’s Maverick Entertainment is producing Jagmohan Mundhra’s next directorial venture Naughty@40.

The film, which has concluded its first schedule in London, stars Govinda and Ayesha Takia as protagonists.

Also, the next schedule of the film is slated to be held in Punjab.

Furthermore, Mundhra’s Shoot On Sight, which premièred at the Osian Film Festival in Delhi, is ready for release. However, the date is yet to be finalized.

The film, penned by Mundhra himself, has been produced by New York-based businessman Aron Govil. The film’s screenplay is written by Carl Austin while the music has been scored by John Altman.

Good performances and a few punchy dialogues alone don’t make an interesting rom-com if the plot and direction is lackluster. After all, it takes two to clap.

De Taali is not an out-and-out comedy. It is a breezy, bouncy, bumbling romantic movie about three friends and a scheming siren.

The movie begins with a song (how else).

Paglu (a rightly cast Ritesh Deshmukh ), Abhi (an endearing Aftab Shivdasani ) and Amu (a curvy Ayesha Takia ) are a bunch of slaphappy friends who banter about everything from love, life and sex to marriage. Abhi is a sort of a despo, falling in ‘love’ with any and every girl (be her a kleptomaniac or a witch) who is attractive and then nursing a broken heart after she walks out on him.

The popular director-actor pair of Prabhu Deva and Vijay are joining hands, again, for a Tamil movie.

The first time they came together was in Pokkiri , which turned out to be a mega hit, leveraging Brand Vijay in a big way.

Now the Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Prabhu Deva will direct ‘Ilaya Dalapathy’ Vijay in a Tamil film.

The buzz is that Bollywood heroine Ayesha Takia has been signed up to play Vijay’s heroine in the movie.

Now that the hit pair have decided to team up again, the Vijay fans can look forward to another big hit like ‘Pokkiri’.

Director Nikhil Advani is doing something unprecedented in his 3-D animation film. The children’s movie tells the story of a group of animals who travel from Mumbai to Delhi.

Since it is an animation film, the characters will be created by animation experts, but their voices will be lent by Bollywood stars.

Akshaye Khanna plays a parrot, Govinda plays a monkey, Urmila plays a leopard, Ayesha Takia plays aleopard’s cub, Sunil Shetty plays her father, and Boman Irani plays a bear.

Both the actresses are gorgeous and sexy in their own way and both have glamourous roles in the film. However, they haven’t been very friendly while working together.

Reason?

Sources are quoted as saying that there are portions in the film that give more prominence to Ayesha Takia. This apparently hasn’t gone well with Rimi, who feels sidelined and neglected.

If men are from Mars, girls are from Venus. Ayesha Takia will literally play one such girl in a Bollywood rom-com.

Titled ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’, the film will be directed by Milap Zaveri who last wrote Sajid Khan’s film Heyy Babyy .

The movie tells the story of an alien girl from Venus who comes to Earth in search of true love. Ayesha Takia will play the alien, while Ritesh Deshmukh and Ruslaan Mumtaz will play the earthlings.

The film will be a romantic comedy with many a funny situation as the alien girl tries to understand the way earthlings love.

Ayesha Takia was nervous as hell while shooting a scene for her movie De Taali .

The cute and yummy-yummy actress was a bundle of nerves when E Niwas, the director of the film, told her to sit in a catapult with co-stars Ritesh Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani while shooting in Auckland, New Zealand.

The catapult was set to elevate to dizzy heights and then come down at great speed.

Since Ayesha is afraid of heights, she refused to do the scene. However, Ritesh and Aftab – the pranksters that they are – tricked Ayesha into sitting on the coaster after assuring her that the shot won’t be taken. But after Ayesha strapped herself in the seat, the catapult began and the camera rolled.

Not long ago, Ayesha had opted out of the Hindi remake of Tamil hit Ghajini in which she had the lead role opposite none other than Aamir Khan . Now, the curvaceous actress has walked out of Sujoy Ghosh’s movie Aladdin which has Amitabh Bachchan playing a genie.

Ayesha was signed to play princess Jasmine, the love interest of Aladdin, being played by Ritesh Deshmukh .

Ayesha Takia and Akshay Kumar are set to come together for a supernatural thriller to be directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.

The movie, titled Tasveer , will be made under the banner of Percept Picture Company. It is learnt to be roughly based on Manoj Night Shyamalan’s Oscar-nominated movie ‘The Sixth Sense’.

Confirming that she is doing the film, Ayesha says she is very much looking forward to work with Nagesh Kukunoor once again after Dor , which got her many rave reviews for her acting.

John Abraham shot a very unusual and unique scene for Anurag Kashyap’s movie No Smoking .

The movie has John playing a chain smoker trying to kick the habit. There is a flashback scene in the film in which both John and his friend Ranvir Shorey are shown smoking their first cigarettes as adolescents.

While any other filmmaker would have used child artistes or visual effects to shoot the scene, Anurag Kashyap , known for his experimental streak, decided to shoot the scene on John and Ranvir only.

Instead of making the scene realistic, Kashyap apparently wanted it to give a farcical look.
