In the Bollywood industry heroines after marriage often makes a disappearing act or often wed late to reign their film career. Ayesha who has finally tied her knot with Farhan Azmi is rumored to make a disappearing act from film as she is bound to observe all the conventional rules after marriage.

But Ayesha has a different story to add about her in-laws and said it is ridiculous to hear such rumors that have no connection in her real life. Ayesha added, “I’m amazed at the games people play. The other day someone asked me if I’ve started wearing a burqa after marriage. Far from feeling clamped I now have the freedom to do more things than before. My parents-in-law are cool about my business ventures with my husband and my film career.”

With a light air to the rumors, she stated, “Farhan and I went around together for five years before marriage. So there goes the conservative card. Suddenly after we make it official I hear all kind of rumours including the fact that I’m out of Revathy Varmha’s film and that I’ve been replaced by some other actress.”

After the sensational hit of her film ‘Wanted’, Ayesha is more determined to carry on with good projects even after marriage and currently she is into with Revathy Varmha’s film.

In perspective to it she added, “I’ve never felt the need to grab roles. I’ve got what I wanted. And it will continue that way. I always felt ‘Wanted’ would be the first big hit of my career. Ironical that it should come now after my marriage. And I’ve got more to do in it than the leading lady in a Salman vehicle would be expected to. In fact I was blown away by the way I was presented. And why should I give up a dream role like the one in Revathy’s film? She’s new to the Mumbai industry and quite nervous about these controversies.”

Moreover, she is driving into another direction apart from the film career that is into clotheslines section along with her mother and sister.

I’m fortunate to have a name and a face that’s recognisable. I want to use that to my advantage and start a clothes line by the middle of next year.”

Ayesha, her mom and sister Natasha will be partners in the garment business. Says Ayesha: “All three of us are very excited about doing the clothes line. We love fashion. It’s basically for the girls in the family.” Ayesha’s husband Farhan Azmi, who is a restaurateur and the son of Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi, will be there to help his wife with the clothes line.

After an year’s delay because the actress is Farhan Azmi’s wife, a Muslim

In spite of Mumbai being one of the most cosmopolitan cities in India religion still plays a deciding factor on where you choose to reside.

Because I married Ayesha Takia Azmi says, “My mother and sister have just found a house in Pali Hill at Bandra after searching for a whole year. While some societies don’t want Muslims, others say the same for both Christians and Muslims. Ever since I married Farhan, some housing societies feel my mom and sis are Muslims too and refuse to let them stay.

Six months ago, after another fruitless search, when mom was turned away by yet another society they both couldn’t contain their hurt and frustration and broke down in the car. I was shocked when they told me the truth.”

Ayesha adds, “Mom and my sister had been searching for a home in Bandra that was central and closer to Colaba, where Farhan and I stay. Earlier, they used to stay in Versova. In Khar, Muslims are strictly not allowed. I found all these things very disappointing as I myself come from a mixed culture.

My father is a Gujarati and mom’s dad was English and her mother Maharashtrian. We celebrate Diwali, Christmas, Holi and now Eid. In the film industry, no one asks or cares for such things. My mom and sister finally got a flat in Pali Hill because the previous owners were also Muslims.”

Don’t know why…Ayesha’s mother’s flat in Versova was sold to Abbas Tyrewala who had complained that he couldn’t shift in because the flat was still occupied. Ayesha says, ‘I don’t know why Abbas said that. In his contract it clearly states that he can shift in from January 20. He’s shifting in today as per the agreement.”

Ayesha is currently taking a break from films. “I am going through a growing process. I have changed a lot and stopped living in my own bubble”

Now that we have dragged ourselves into 2010, some Bollywood celebs have revealed the resolutions they had made a year back but failed completely to temptations:

1. Mugdha Godse- “I had resolved to learn to cook but I failed miserably, thanks to my work schedule, I had always wanted to be an early riser in 2009. But I always got up late because I went to bed late. I had planned on taking a full-fledged holiday but it never happened,” she sighs.
2. Ayesha Takia- “I seriously wanted to take up painting but never managed to do so. I also wanted to lead a disciplined lifestyle but I’ve realised that it isn’t possible since my family members and I like staying up late and chatting. I had resolved to get on a fitness program. But I’ve managed to follow just 75 per cent of the program. I intend following theseresolutions in 2010,” she quips.
3. Pritam- “For the past 3 years, I have wanted to kick the butt (smoking)……… I managed to do so only for 3 days. I lit up on the 4th day. In 2009, I had enrolled into a health club after paying a hefty admission fee to swim and stay trim. I went there only for a day,” he laughs off.

Azmi is the son of SP leader Abu Asim Azmi, ranked among the richest politicians in Maharashtra having declared assets exceeding Rs 125 crore.

The SP candidate’s fortunes include a 830 sqft apartment at Pali Hill in Bandra, priced at Rs 2.93 crore, and farming as well as non-agricultural plots in Aurangabad, Bhiwandi and Lucknow, valued at above Rs 9.38 crore. The businessman has immovable assets including a BMW 7 series car and a Mercedes Benz.

In his affidavit, the SP candidate declared his known liability of Rs 4.02 crore, which includes a personal loan of Rs 3.96 crore and another Rs 5 lakh, which he has taken to buy the two imported vehicles.

Two relocations are taking in Bollywood currently, both for family reasons. While Ayesha Takia and her mom are moving to another home closer to South Mumbai to be nearer to Ayesha’s husband Farhan’s family, director Abbas Tyrewala is moving into Ayesha’s mom’s house with wife Pakhi.

‘We wanted to move to a place closer to my parents. And we also needed a bigger place than the one we’re in currently. We looked around and then when our agent told us about this house in Versova in a highrise. We checked it out and fell in love with it immediately. It was exactly what we were looking for,’ cleared Tyrewala.

However, the director claims that he didn’t know the place belonged to Ayesha and her mother when he purchased the house.

Ayesha’s mother Faridah confirmed the developments saying: ‘Yes, Abbas has bought our house. We’ll shift out in a few weeks. We want to move closer to Ayesha. She lives in Colaba. Yari Road in Versova, where we live at the moment, is too far away.’

However, Tyrewalas are now in a friend’s apartment as the Takiyas are yet vacate Abbas’ new place. Abbas, though impatient, is politely waiting for Ayesha’s family to vacate his house. “That’s okay. I’ve always lived like a nomad. Pakhi and I would be glad to live out of suitcases until we get our new house,” said Abbas.

Ayesha’s mother Faridah confirms the news saying, “Yes, Abbas has bought our house. We’ll shift out in a few weeks. We want to move closer to Ayesha. She lives in Colaba. Yari Road in Versova where we live at the moment is too far away.”

Now if you all have such difficulty in locating these so-called well known faces, don’t you think that these ladies have done right thing by getting married without delaying any more?

Marriage or no marriage Ayesha Takia is not going to let go off sexy dressing sense. The actress seen here is in one of the most desirable of attires. Ayesha who gave a huge hit after her marriage through Wanted is a much in demand actress now, what with some of the sexiest roles going her way.

The actress is taking them all up and she is pretty happy with the way her career is going.
