Ayesha Takia has quelled rumours that she has started wearing a burqa after marriage and that her husband’s family is ultra-conservative where Ayesha is more amused than exasperated by attempts to put her into the retired actress’ bracket after marriage. “I’m amazed at the games people play. The other day someone asked me if I’ve started wearing a burqa after marriage,” laughs Ayesha. “Far from feeling clamped, I now have the freedom to do more things than before. My parents-in-law are cool about my business ventures with my husband and my film career.”

Azmi is the son of SP leader Abu Asim Azmi, ranked among the richest politicians in Maharashtra having declared assets exceeding Rs 125 crore.

The SP candidate’s fortunes include a 830 sqft apartment at Pali Hill in Bandra, priced at Rs 2.93 crore, and farming as well as non-agricultural plots in Aurangabad, Bhiwandi and Lucknow, valued at above Rs 9.38 crore. Two relocations are taking in Bollywood currently, both for family reasons. While Ayesha Takia and her mom are moving to another home closer to South Mumbai to be nearer to Ayesha’s husband Farhan’s family, director Abbas Tyrewala is moving into Ayesha’s mom’s house with wife Pakhi.

‘We wanted to move to a place closer to my parents. And we also needed a bigger place than the one we’re in currently. We looked around and then when our agent told us about this house in Versova in a highrise. We checked it out and fell in love with it immediately. It was exactly what we were looking for,’ cleared Tyrewala.

His geeky pair of spectacles and her pink mobile phone looked oh-so-trendy! Sporting a small bun and a one-shoulder top, the actress mingled around with a girlish charm. The theme at the store was white as “white depicts purity,” said Azeem, feeling overwhelmed with the response to his designs. His wife Sameena Khan chose to sport a white number herself. Models were seen sashaying the entire look with clutches, belts and earrings displaying the light-weight line of accessories. While the heavy-weight list of guests continued to pour in and have a gala evening.

Wanted girl Ayesha Takia has lend her chirpy voice for a character called baby cheetah in Nikhil Advani’s animation film ‘Delhi Safari’. The film traces the journey of a group of wild animals from Mumbai to Delhi and revolves around a leopard family of three. Apart from Ayesha bigger actors like Suniel Shetty and Urmila will also voice for the leopard Sultan and his wife respectively.
