Eshwar Niwas ki better Aag

August 13th, 2008

De Taali
Cast: Riteish Deshmukh, Ayesha Takia, Aftab Shivdasani
Direction: Eshwar Niwas

Dim some, lose some. Practically every man, woman and even a dear golden-fur dog here is brain-challenged. One guy breakdances on the Bangkok streets (no one stops to watch, he’s that bad), another quaffs single malts at 8 am (no one gives him soda). And a girl smiles so widely that she could eat a banana (or two) sideways. Really.

Ayesha Takia Tickled

August 8th, 2008

Ayesha Takia seems to be in pain..or is it pleasure? Well, after De Taali went kaput at the box office, the curvy Ayesha Takia has to experiment with roles, not do just the kiddy ones. No one is asking her to strip, but at least take some Dor kind of roles. Ayesha Takia is easily one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood.

De Taali : Movie Review

July 25th, 2008

Good performances and a few punchy dialogues alone don’t make an interesting rom-com if the plot and direction is lackluster. After all, it takes two to clap.

De Taali is not an out-and-out comedy. It is a breezy, bouncy, bumbling romantic movie about three friends and a scheming siren.

The movie begins with a song (how else).

Paglu (a rightly cast Ritesh Deshmukh ), Abhi (an endearing Aftab Shivdasani ) and Amu (a curvy Ayesha Takia ) are a bunch of slaphappy friends who banter about everything from love, life and sex to marriage. Abhi is a sort of a despo, falling in ‘love’ with any and every girl (be her a kleptomaniac or a witch) who is attractive and then nursing a broken heart after she walks out on him.

Cold vibes between two hot actresses

July 24th, 2008

Ayesha Takia and Rimi Sen don’t get along well on the sets of movie De Taali .

Both the actresses are gorgeous and sexy in their own way and both have glamourous roles in the film. However, they haven’t been very friendly while working together.

Reason?

Sources are quoted as saying that there are portions in the film that give more prominence to Ayesha Takia. This apparently hasn’t gone well with Rimi, who feels sidelined and neglected.

Ayesha Takia jittery on a catapult

July 23rd, 2008

Ayesha Takia was nervous as hell while shooting a scene for her movie De Taali .

The cute and yummy-yummy actress was a bundle of nerves when E Niwas, the director of the film, told her to sit in a catapult with co-stars Ritesh Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani while shooting in Auckland, New Zealand.

The catapult was set to elevate to dizzy heights and then come down at great speed.

Since Ayesha is afraid of heights, she refused to do the scene. However, Ritesh and Aftab – the pranksters that they are – tricked Ayesha into sitting on the coaster after assuring her that the shot won’t be taken. But after Ayesha strapped herself in the seat, the catapult began and the camera rolled.

Ayesha Takia dumps Riteish

June 24th, 2008

After Apna Sapna Money Money, Hey Babby and Dhamaal, De Taali has got Riteish’s comic timing a fresh round of applause.

But with the grin comes the grim. With the laughter of the comedies Riteish’s chances of being accepted as the conventional leading man recede with alarming celerity.

The latest setback for Riteish’s plans of mainstream hero-giri is the heroine crisis in writer-turned Milap Jhaveri’s Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai.

This is the only romantic lead on Riteish’s hands. Ayesha Takiya who happily plays Riteish’s bum chum in De Taali (and the romantic lead with Aftab Shivdasani) is no longer playing the alien from Venus who lands into earthling Riteish’s embrace.

All you wanted to know about De Taali

Ayesha Takia in De Taali

De Taali is a world filled with friends, love, and laughter. Three friends who can do anything for each other. Their friendship is defined by love and understanding. Paglu, Amu & Abhi live the lives of each other. They drink, eat, & sleep together. Sleep? Don’t take it otherwise though. But they are certainly an integral part of each others lives.

Amu is a girl amongst the two guys, though Paglu & Abhi don’t treat her like one. Its nto a triangle love story but there is love. Love for money, and security and sometimes just friendly love. Fun-Filled and Love-Filled moments collide. Friendships break. De Taali captures Friendship in its most real form. You are bound to realize how true this actually is.
