The actress and her husband spent a month in Europe and travelled to Paris, Brussels, Antwerp and Amsterdam by car and train. Bubbly actress Ayesha Takia Azmi got married to long time beau Farhan Azmi last month. She celebrates her 23rd birthday today. She talks about marriage, birthday plans, her new film with Jaya Bachchan and Raveena Tandon and much more.

“LIFE has not changed at all after marriage. It feels exactly the same because Farhan and I have known each other for five long years. We keep asking each other that why didn’t we do this before! Even before we got married, Farhan and I felt mentally married. So nothing has changed,” says the glowing wife.

She has just returned from her month-long honeymoon and Ayesha Takia is still glowing with pride, joy and excitement .

“We went all over Europe for our honeymoon. Farhan knows London well because he studied there. We relaxed, walked the streets, went into cosy cafes. Now we’re back in the heat of Mumbai,” says Ayesha.

So how is she finding life after marriage? “Honestly I can’t see the difference between before and after the wedding. My husband Farhan Azmi has been an integral part of my family for five years now. I’ve no close friends. For me, my mom and sister are the closest people in my life.”

Ayesha Takia’s husband restaurateur Farhan Azmi, son of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Abu Asim Azmi, is all set to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in India, according to party sources. He is said to be pitted opposite the Congress’s Milind Deora, the sitting MP from Mumbai South. If Farhan does agree to contest then it will be one of those rare occasions when a father and son duo has contested in the same elections.

é, Farhan Azmi on March 1 at a simple ceremony, hosted the grand reception here, which saw the who’s who of film and political fraternity making it to the function.

Actors like Dino Morea, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Suneil Shetty and Riteish Deshmukh were among a few who made it to the reception party.

Wishing the newly weds a happy married life, Suneil Shetty said, I wish a happy married life to both of them.”

The inside story is that Nishit was not even informed about his daughter’s wedding date because he parted ways with Ayesha’s mother, Faridah, six months ago.
