Ayesha Takia was last seen in Salman Khan’s Wanted. Finally after a long gap he willl be seen in Revathy Varmha’s Hamesha I will love you opposite Anant Narayan.

The movie Hamesha I will love you is a love saga where Anant will play the role of an affable bachelor and Ayesha of a joly family girl. As soon as Revathy completed the script, she knew Ayesha is the only girl who can execute this role properly.

As of now Revathy is busy with Aap Ke Liye Hum, a hindi remake of 2005 Tamil movie. Ayesha Takia, Raveena Tandon and R. Madhavan are playing lead role in it.

All those who insisted that Paathshala would be the last time one saw Ayesha Takia (left) on screen, post her marriage to restaurateur Farhan Azmi, can now be silenced. The actress’ mother, Farida, confirms that Ayesha, who had asserted in an interview to HT in April, that she was open to doing one or two meaningful movies a year, should be back in the studio “very soon, may be in a month or two” for Revathy’s next film. Ayesha was paired oposite Salman Khan in Wanted.

Revathi’s film in question is not Aap Ke Liye Hum, toplining Jaya Bachchan, Raveena Tandon and Ayesha that the actor-director has been juggling with. After a major schedule was cancelled for the third time, following Revathy’s emergency knee surgery after a particularly nasty fall, that project has been temporarily shelved.

But Ayesha who was reported to be miffed after her dates went waste repeatedly, has given the nod to another script. “Ayesha was approached by Revathy a month ago for another film and she will be doing it,” says Farida.
Her co-star in the film is said to be Kunal Khemu. The actor’s business manager admits that Revathy did give Kunal an exciting one-line narration for the same film. “Kunal is waiting to read the final script before he takes a call. Revathy was supposed to get back to us by May end but we haven’t heard from her yet,” informs Abbas.

Ayesha Takia has finally signed a new movie post her marriage to restaurateur Farhan Azmi. She was working on Revathy Sharma’s Aapke Liye Hum with Jaya Bachchan and Raveena Tandon but the movie has been delayed.
The new movie in question is directed by South Indian actress turned director Revathy and is a very sweet romantic film. Ayesha had said that she would do one or two meaningful movies a year and has agreed to do Revathy’s beautiful love story.

‘Ayesha was approached by Revathy a month ago and shooting will start in one month or two’, says a source close to the actress. Her co-star in the film will be Kunal Khemu, if everything falls into place. Revathy gave him a brief narration and Kunal wants to read the final script before agreeing to do the film.

Let’s see how this unusual combination turns out.

Gorgeous Ayesha has done commendable work in Dor and 8 x 10 Tasveer. And now she is all set to spellbound the audience with her performance in her recent movie ‘Wanted’.

She is extremely excited about her forthcoming release and expects that she stands up to the expectations of her fans. She is full of respect and admiration for her co-star Salman Khan. She considers Salman doing justice to every co-actor’s role and not over-shadowing them.

She is all in praises for him and said, “He is very generous and incredible. Many actors try to steal their co-stars’ screen space; but Salman is super-confident and secure. He will never do that. I find that truly admirable.’’

Ayesha is selective about choosing film as she lays more importance on quality than quantity. She says “I want to do films that will be remembered, not run-of-the-mill stuff where I stand behind looking pretty as a picture.”

Presently, she is doing just one more film, which is Revathy Verma’s Aap Ke Liye Hum with Jaya Bachchan and Raveena Tandon.

Ayesha clarifies that nothing has changed after she got married. She insists that everything is still the same with her and that she is committed to her work the same way as she was before marriage.

The actress says about her married life that “Getting hitched hasn’t changed anything. I feel exactly the same. I was seeing Farhan for five years before I married him. We knew from day one that we were committed to each other and would marry. I’m now officially his wife, and though our marriage is six months old, everything around me is the same. I still spend most of my days with my husband, I shoot whenever I have to, I continue to take interest in the business that mom and I have set up. I repeat nothing has changed.’’

Aap Ke Liye Hum, the film about an adopted mother, seems to be stuck after a series of mishaps. The latest is director Revathy Varma’s emergency knee surgery, which has once again thrown the first major schedule of the film out of gear.

Speaking about why she had to be rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Hospital on Sunday (August 6), the director said, “I had to be brought here for an emergency knee surgery. I fell and hurt myself. There was some swelling. But I ignored it. On Sunday, when I was to start shooting, the pain suddenly resurfaced and got unbearable.”

Revathy underwent successful knee surgery yesterday morning.

This is the third time that the schedule of this film has been cancelled. And the effect has started rubbing off on the cast. Although every member of the cast is demoralised, the one who’s apparently losing patience fast is Ayesha Takia, who plays Jaya Bachchan’s daughter. The actress, who recently got married and is busy with various business and domestic activities, is apparently fed up with delays. It is said that Ayesha’s mother has issued the director an ultimatum. Either the film gets made within a certain time frame this year, or Ayesha opts out. It was loudly whispered that Ayesha Takia failed to turn up for the schedule. But the director denies this. All she says is, “I’m new to the ways of Mumbai. I don’t know how to handle the actors when the camera is off.”

Ayesha Takia chose to maintain a diplomatic stand on the issue. She said, “Revathy is in hospital for a knee surgery. She will be bedridden for a while. If there are no serious date issues in the future, then I am doing her film.”

With such uncertainty, it remains to be seen whether the director will now be able to pull off the tough task of bringing together the seemingly-incompatible schedules of three busy housewives, Jaya Bachchan, Raveena Tandon and Ayesha Takia and one very busy South Indian actor Madhavan, after the delays.

The busy starcast including Raveena Tandon, Jaya Bachchan and Ayesha Takia who were busy with their respective families are back to work in Revathy Sharma’s film about an ‘adopted’ mother abandoned by her wretched son, played by Ranvir Shorey, who was the last to join the cast.

Shooting resumes on September 5. “It would have started two days earlier. But my cast got busy with Ganesh Chaturthi,” sighs the director.

Madhavan is back in Revathy Sharma’s movie which is a female oriented film.

Earlier Genelia D’Souza was thought for the role , Ayesha is playing but the director just could not afford as she said , Yes we did think of her. But Genelia is a very busy and big star. It wasn’t the money; we’ve paid all the actors their market price.”

Laughs the director,”We called the film Chassni. But Jayaji put her foot down, said the title was too sweet. So we’ve a new title Aap Ke Liye Hum.”

Bubbly actress Ayesha Takia Azmi got married to long time beau Farhan Azmi last month. She celebrates her 23rd birthday today. She talks about marriage, birthday plans, her new film with Jaya Bachchan and Raveena Tandon and much more.

“LIFE has not changed at all after marriage. It feels exactly the same because Farhan and I have known each other for five long years. We keep asking each other that why didn’t we do this before! Even before we got married, Farhan and I felt mentally married. So nothing has changed,” says the glowing wife.

About her birthday plans, she says, “I have very few friends and we are going to celebrate just like we do every year with my mother and sister and Farhan’s family. We will spend time with each other and go for a nice, big dinner in the evening. It will be a happy family affair.”

Reminiscing about her childhood birthdays, she tells us, “As children we all like big birthday parties with lots of friends so my mother used to organize these dramatic birthday parties for me. I remember the fancy dress party the most where I dressed as Barbie.”
And what about the birthday gifts she wants this year?

“I can’t think of anything actually because I am in a very happy and content space in my head right now. Everything is perfect. I am an animal lover and my mother has gifted me a puppy who I have christened Smooch. Last year, Farhan gave me two puppies as well. By the time I grow old, I don’t know how many dogs I will have!” she laughs.

The newly married couple honeymooned in Europe. “We didn’t want a typical tropical honeymoon. We wanted to go to a place where we could spend quality time together, chill in cafes and go shopping, so we picked Europe. At 6-7 degrees, the weather was amazing and cold, such a relief from the heat of Mumbai. It was great fun,” recalls Mrs. Azmi.

Farhan cooks really well but Ayesha is the exact opposite. “Farhan makes really nice pasta and is a good cook overall. I tried to cook but failed. Whenever I tried, everyone’s expression said it all so now I have stopped embarrassing myself,” she laughs.

Ayesha also shot for her first movie after marriage yesterday. “It is an untitled film made by Revathy Verma and I knew this would be the first film I would do after marriage. Jayaji and Raveena Tandon are part of the film and it is great to work with them as I admire them both. The first day of the shoot went really well,” she says.

So what kind of movies will she do now and how will she balance marriage and work? “I want to do very few films now and they have to be special, exclusive and substantial movies. I will not do any run of the mill, commercial masala stuff now.”

When does she want to have children? “Oh, please don’t ask me that question! I am very young to have children now and won’t think of them till ten years later!” she signs off.

Jaya Bachchan turns on April 9. The makers of her new film tentatively titled Chaassni have planned a very Special surprise for her.

They’ve decided to pre-pone the commencement of the film’s shooting by a month to coincide with Jaya’s birthday.

Divulging details reluctantly the film’s softspoken director Revathy Varma says, “Yes, we’ve quickened the process of starting the film. April 9 is a very auspicious day. And my film is about honouring and giving a respectable place to the aged in our society. So what better proof of the film’s intentions than to dedicate it to Jayaji’s 60th birthday?”

The preponement was so sudden that actress Raveena Tandon, who plays a pivotal, role is totally taken aback. “I thought the shooting was supposed to start in May. This is the first time I’m hearing about the April 9 shoot. But I’m happy. We’re all fans of Jayaji. And the film is about making her character happy.” Adds Revathy, “We’re doing just a brief shooting on April 9. Then we have a detailed schedule.”

The film already made in Tamil entitled June R was based on the director’s own life. “I adopted a mother from a foster-home. She is no more. But the love she gave me has given birth to Jayaji’s character in the film.”

Revathy is planning it as a full-on commercial film with songs composed by Salim-Suleiman. “They can give a contemporary feel to the project.”

The Tamil veteran actress Saritha had played a pivotal role in the original. Says Revathy, “The Hindi version will be radically different from the Tamil. I’ve just taken the core of my Tamil film and re-written it completely in Hindi.”

Ayesha Takia plays Jaya Bachchan’s daughter in the Hindi version. Jaya whose on-screen chemistry with her make-believe daughters from Karisma Kapoor in Fiza to preity zinta in Kal Ho Na Ho has always been extra-Special, looks forward to getting motherly with the newly-married Takia.
