Even though Ritiesh Deshmukh has worked with Ayesha Takia for the first time ever in DE TAALI, he truly believes that the girl is a genuine talent. Impressed with her spontaneity and the range that she brings in her act, Riteish admits that it was fun working with her in his soon to be released urban comic flick that is directed by E Niwas.
“Ayesha is truly one of the finest talents around”, says Riteish in an admiring tone, “I mean most of us actors have a particular way of acting in films. The way we enact a scene or mouth a dialogue, there is basically a similar format involved. But Ayesha is just different.”

Comic star Riteish Deshmukh’s plans of breaking into the mainstream actors’ league with “Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai” seem to be in peril with his leading lady Ayesha Takia opting out of the movie. Ayesha, who happily played his bum chum in “De Taali”, is no longer playing the alien from Venus who lands into earthling Riteish’s embrace.
“No I can’t do Milap Jhaveri’s film because the dates got shifted by two months. I had already given dates to Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Tasveer’ and Prabhu Deva’s ‘Wanted’. Since these were confirmed in advance, I could do nothing but give up ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’,” Ayesha said.

After Apna Sapna Money Money, Hey Babby and Dhamaal, De Taali has got Riteish’s comic timing a fresh round of applause.
But with the grin comes the grim. With the laughter of the comedies Riteish’s chances of being accepted as the conventional leading man recede with alarming celerity.
The latest setback for Riteish’s plans of mainstream hero-giri is the heroine crisis in writer-turned Milap Jhaveri’s Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai.
This is the only romantic lead on Riteish’s hands. Ayesha Takiya who happily plays Riteish’s bum chum in De Taali (and the romantic lead with Aftab Shivdasani) is no longer playing the alien from Venus who lands into earthling Riteish’s embrace.
